Back when I turned 40 I took a last minute trip to Menorca and loved the island. This Unesco declared Biosphere Reserve is quieter and more traditional than many parts of the larger, better known, neighbouring island of Mallorca and it captured my heart. I loved the rugged coastline, the pine woods and the animals I encountered when I went out for impromptu hikes. I decided I’d return to walk the Camí de Cavills and I recently did just that.

Although Glastonbury Festival has never been something I’ve been excited about, in recent months I’ve repeatedly heard how much of a spiritual centre the town itself is. I’ve had several nudges from books I’ve been reading or conversations I’ve had and usually when you notice the signs, it’s time to take note.
